Nowaste establishes an additional terminal in Helsingborg

Nowaste Logistics is expanding both its collaboration with Wihlborgs and its operations in Helsingborg. The company is renting 6,200 square meters from Wihlborgs in the logistics and industrial area Hamncity. There are good reasons for this.

Helsingborg has long been established as one of Northern Europe's best logistics locations. There is an enormous amount of know-how and a solid collaboration with academia. There are two European highways, proximity to the continent, railways, and a container port, where urban development in southern Helsingborg is focused on a new container port.

The new facility offers attractive storage opportunities for Nowaste Logistics. Daniel Åkesson, COO at Nowaste, says:

We attract new customers and need new facilities that offer opportunities for us, our customers, and our employees. We have a long relationship with Wihlborgs, and they understand our needs well. Our new property is located directly by the port and is rail-connected, which enables unloading and loading of railway wagons. We see increasing demand in that area. When the Fehrman Belt connection is completed, rail volumes are expected to increase even more.

Nowaste has in recent years expanded geographically, including with an entirely new terminal in the Stigamo area outside Jönköping. But Helsingborg has been home turf since the company started in 2008. Nowaste handles warehousing and warehouse operations for customers in a wide range of industries and employs around 700 people across about ten terminals.
