Nowaste and Peak Performance in New Partnership

Nowaste Logistics

Nowaste Logistics continues to attract new clients. Peak Performance – founded in Åre and headquartered in Stockholm – has now decided to move its logistics operations from Copenhagen to Helsingborg.

Peak Performance was founded in the mid-1980s, essentially on a ski lift up Åreskutan mountain. A few alpine enthusiasts were testing and reviewing a new collection of ski wear and asked themselves why no one was making the kind of clothes they actually wanted to wear. Taking matters into their own hands, they started a small company that today operates in more than 20 countries and is owned by Amer Sports, a globally leading group that also owns brands such as Wilson and Salomon. Peak Performance designs clothing for skiing, golf, training, and outdoor activities, as well as its own casual wear line.

Now, all garments will be handled in Helsingborg as Nowaste Logistics takes over Peak Performance’s warehouse and logistics management. Through Nowaste’s omni-channel solution, Peak Performance will reach all stores, online retailers, and e-commerce customers across EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa).

Amer Sports has a reputation for being extremely meticulous when it comes to logistics, which adds weight to us as a logistics partner. Amer Sports and Peak Performance have extensive logistics expertise, so we’ll challenge each other and grow together – something we’re really looking forward to, says Patrik Johnfors, Head of Implementation and Solution Design.

Helsingborg is ranked as one of Europe’s best logistics locations. The city has a major container port, proximity to the continent, railway access, and two major European routes, the E4 and E6. It also offers university-level logistics education and a long-established local know-how. Recently, Nowaste Logistics has been recognized with the Logistics Establishment of the Year award and the Competensum Award for its approach to employee development. Soon, Nestlé Denmark will also move its warehouse operations to Helsingborg, making Peak Performance the second major Danish relocation in a short period.

Danish companies have much to gain by moving their logistics operations across the Öresund. In addition to Nowaste offering state-of-the-art logistics solutions, clients also benefit from currency advantages, Swedish labor market regulations, and, for exporting companies, a favorable imbalance in goods flows in and out of Sweden.

Nowaste Logistics and Peak Performance have already begun their collaboration. Peak Performance has placed high value on Nowaste’s expertise in automation and IT. Among other things, Nowaste operates its own WMS (Warehouse Management System) to ensure optimized flexibility for a wide range of logistics needs.
